I'm slowly starting to realise something that I sort of knew a couple of months ago that I didn't want to be true. It's not as dramatic as this makes it sound, but it is a quite dramatic change for me personally. With my new camera I can take way better photos than I could with the old one, but in order to do so i need to change my approach. That turns out to be more difficult than I expected. It's quite a change from a 1200mm lens to a 400mm lens. The quality is an insane amount better, really it's unbelievable to me, but the difference in range is quite hard to adjust too. Last sunday I went out to buy a new camera. After long hours off research i decided on the canon 6d body with a canon 100-400 USM L series lens. So far I'm amazed by the difference that makes to my old camera, and needless to say I'm extremely happy with my purchase. It's been two years and about two or three months since I joined dA, and it's been the only website that I've consistently uploaded my photos to over all this time. So today, after looking through all the photos I took over the past few months, I decided to clean up my gallery a bit. I haven't permanently deleted anything, because I like to go back and look through all the bad photos I've uploaded to remind me what I've learned. But I saw a lot of photos that probably deserve to be uploaded, and I also saw some that really didn't deserve to be in the featured spot of my gallery.
